LRC5 1.13

LRC5 is an Audio Unit (AU) developed for iOS devices, exclusively serving as a container and documentation for the actual Audio Unit functionalities. To utilize LRC5, integration within an Audio Unit host or DAW application is imperative.

Functioning as a five-band EQ, LRC5 features low shelf and high shelf filters in addition to three parametric peak/cut filters capable of a 24 dB boost or cut. The frequency range for each filter spans from 10 Hz to 20 kHz, offering the flexibility to adjust these filters in any order. Filters set at 0.0 dB effectively disengage them, while also allowing users to tailor the "Q" factor ranging from 0.0 to 1.0. While the three peaking filters can be set for fairly narrow frequency bands with a value of 1.0, LRC5 is primarily suited for signal coloration rather than surgical frequency refinement.

LRC5 supports mono-to-mono or stereo-to-stereo configurations, with the prerequisite that input and output channels align in number. Notably, channels are interlinked with controls and settings uniformly applying across all channels.
